.. just purchased a superb double CD .. "Faith presents TK Disco" .. disc 1 is a non-stop disco-mix .. side 2 is comprised of unmixed tracks .. it's been around a couple of years & retails for about $20 ..
:icon_razz:
.. but don't pay full price .. Amazon sellers are pushing this at a fraction of the cost:
Amazon.com: Faith Presents TK Disco: Various Artists: Music
Amazon.co.uk: Faith Presents T.K. Disco: Compiled & Mixed By Bill Brewster: Various Artists: Music

you'd still be waiting for me at the airport
while my ship was coming in
I picked up that CD last year for a fiver from 'Vinyl Exchange' here in Manchester & I just love the Mad Dog Fire Department & Jo Bisso tracks; never heard them before & glad I have now. Can't say I'm that keen on the rest though, with the exception of Eli's 2nd Coming & Ultrafunk.![]()

.. hello Sandra .. it's a shame you don't like this CD much .. obviously you are not alone in your opinion .. the disc is going for a song at the moment .. but we should congratulate TK for attempting something different .. what the world doesn't need right now is another compilation featuing "At midnight" / "Do what you wanna do" & "Ring my bell" .. this release has been compiled & mixed by the legendary Bill Brewster (author of "How to DJ properly" & "Last night a DJ saved my life") and is obviously a labour of love .. Joe Tex "Discomania", Peter Brown "Burning love breakdown" / "Dance with me", George McCrae "Love in motion", Timmy Thomas "Is it in" & "Freak in freak out" were all massive U.S. club hits .. and some of the finest disco records ever made .. added to which each side ends on a monster soul ballad, featuring 2 of the most amazing vocal r&b talents of that decade (Gwen McCrae, wife of George, and Latimore) .. I can't recommend this compilation enough ..

Oh I totally agree, it is a very interesting compilation & just because I only like 25% of it is only an indication of my tastes, I'm sure many people will love it. I love discovering new/ obscure tracks even if I don't like them as music is my life (thanx Patti Labelle!)
