Hi everyone,
I recorded this circa 1991 off the radio (the sound quality is dismal!). It's a lovely jazzy, soulful tune. The most memorable line for me was "Little boy blue, what do I do?" It sounds a bit like Dr Robert (from Blow Monkeys) singing a duet with a female soul singer, but apparently it isn't. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Fran

Hi Fran
I don't know what it is but someone just pointed out the Soul II Soul sample from 'Keep on Movin'. Same person (who knows a lot about music) thinks the singer isn't english.
Sixty minutes is nothing special (but it\'s all the world to me)
Hi,
A sample from Soul II Soul's "Keep on Moving"? That's interesting, I never heard that, which bit exactly ?
Do you think you or this person you mention could suggest my next course of action, i.e. where I should look next, etc ?
thanks for the time invested in this !
Fran
In your mp3 the sample starts at 0:43 and is the string stabs. The sample used (or replayed) happens from 1:57 in this soul ii soul vid and is the strings in the background

My friend had no other suggestions and he was in a band at the time, Haircut 100 and has been in the biz since but I agree it is so like Dr Robert.
