Elaine and Ellen :Fill Me up from 1980.
Dunno anything about these twin sisters. Just found a link for the track and checked "the music bible" (ie Joel Whitburn's Hot Dance/Disco). They reached number 28 in March 1980.:icon_rolleyes:

    Re: (re) Disco-very # 002

I first "discovered" Elaine and Ellen on the Dimitri From Paris CD 'In the House of Love' and their disco version of "The Look of Love." I only found out that they recorded one album in 1979 (The Look of Love included) in Chicago, with Rick Gianatos doing the mixing. Then they released a 12" single in 1980 with "You Made Me Do It Again" b/w "Fill Me Up."

Just a few month ago I bought the CD which appears to have the entire album plus the 2 songs from the 12". I love it! Happy, upbeat disco with pleasant voices and nice arrangements.

Just to add - I added a review of the 12" single The look of love / All I need is me to this site some time ago.

Elaine and Ellen The Look Of Love b/w All I Need Is Me (Promo 12") Disco Music.com

This is one of my favourite records of all time! I'd love to hear what the other three tracks are like on the LP.

I bought it at Medium Rare Music in San Francisco. They have a My Space page where they have contact information and some fun photos of artists that have been there. I have been happily surprised many times by some of the things I've bought there.

They had one last copy and this one arrived today. Cover was printed on an inkjet printer and it's a vinyl-cd transfer, but at high quality!!!
Mixed by Rick Gianatos - reminds me of Seventh Avenue.
If you can get your hands on this cd, grab it!
