Good titles there. How do you do your nights, meaning is it a continuous smooth mix or do you let the tracks just fade? Does the crowd dance to the obscurities or do they demand house-style cuts? Like me, do you always get someone tapping the booth wall, wanting you to spin I Will Survive...?

Dear Jussik! I have now two DiscoSpecials

in Vienna in Corporation with BOOGIE NIGHT...

and HEAVEN. BOOGIE NIGHT is the more straight

funky-disco club in the U4, where I play

once a month at the clubroom. Certainly I

play these personal chartz at the beginning

or end of the party. And sometimes it might

be possible to create a hit out of it. For

sure I play "I Will Survive" and all the

other Disco-Hits, but HouseMusic is very

reduced in my set...because I played it 7-

8 years long all the time. And also at the

Disco-Heaven, which is very gay, I play the

hits of the disco-era...but much more gay-

based. And sometimes the mood is in the club-

room real better than in the HouseMainroom.

I´m not in mixing the trax together, because

it´s sometimes real impossible, to combine

the diverse bpm´s, but I think I´m very good

in classic-cutting. For me the real creative

thing are my HOT DISCO NIGHTS at RADIO ORANGE

twice a month and sometimes fine HouseParties

where I can play my underground DiscoTunes

in smaller dancerooms or loungy bars. But be

sure, that I never played Bee Gees, Abba,

"Grease" and other stuff I really don´t like.

If you can´t hear "I Will Survive" anymore

why not try the spanish Version from Gloria

    Gaynor"Yo Vivire"?

Sirius, I just read this post and gave old “dancing Johnson” a spin, this song was a “novelty record” at the time, design to capitalized on a popular American comedian (Bill Salluga)that used to fly off the handle when somebody called him “Johnson” , he will pop up unexpected in many comedy shows sketches doing his “you don’t have to call me Johnson” bit, pretty silly funny stuff at the time but it didn’t last long, I’m afraid that most DJ I knew never bother with this cut, one reason been that by the time this 12” was released the “Johnson” bit was pretty tired. I thought you’d liked to know why the lyrics don't make sense.

Anyway, I like this "silly" song and I played

    it on Boogie Night.
