Early '80s Hi-NRG song:"Sometimes when I look into his eyes..."

Hi. It is a dance song, but not disco...it's more in the style of '81-'85 hi-NRG, but only approx. 100 bpm. First 2 minutes or so are instrumental then female sings, "some...times...when I look into his eyes...he makes me feel...like no one...I've ever known before." Then another couple verses and she repeats slowly, "sigh...sigh...sigh." Not sure about the "sigh" part. She could be saying, "lies" or "eyes" or something similar. About a 2 minute bridge then a male sings the same lyrics. They definitely sound American or Canadian. I have it on a mixed tape from 1985. I don't remember many dance songs in that era that had a female singing 3 verses, a 2 minute bridge, then a male singing the exact same verses. This song is VERY well produced.

Yup, a woman sings it then they both sing chorus, then the melody repeats exactly the same (lead up and all) except a man sings 'em word for word....minimalist and very baseoriented...any takers?...SOMEONE has to have access to this underground doozy...i've been trying to track this for ages but it seems noone recalls this...in fact, you are the first....i so wish to have a copy of this clever baby

I like Fire Island, too, as well as Touch, their another representative song. I bought thier 12 inchers back then (after listening to them at local discos), but would love to get CDs if there were.:icon_razz:

hi guys...this was one of my favourites back in the day...it was by seccession a group from edinburgh scotland and was written about the club on the main high street(princes street) called fire island, they had an album made around the same time this was released(can't remember the name) but it was all in the same electro hi nrg groove as this dreamy tune...thanks for reminding me of this track as i forgot about and now want to dig it out and listen again...
