    roy ayers fast money

    Just found a copy of roy ayres fast money on melodic records 12" 1982 anyone no how much this fetches?
    so soulful it hurts

    Dunno what it's worth but you should definetly keep it.

    It's a great track. Unfortunatly I ownly own a live version af the song recorded in 1988.
    There was life after disco!!

    This doesn't answer the question but I bought 'Fast Money' on Roy's 'Lots Of Love' CD last year for next to nothing in a bargain bin as he was past his best by the mid-80's IMO. His late 70's stuff like 'Sweet Tears' & 'Love will Bring Us Back Together' is much classier dance music.

    A sealed copy sold recently on Ebay for US $ 15.5.
    One week ago a copy in a record shop in Paris sold for € 20

    The promo copy is more sought after, and anything on Uno Melodic has become cult (80s Ladies, Silvia Striplin etc)

    steely I have most of his lp's with running away/sweet tears/200 black etc big fan seen him live 3 times
    But I also collect 80's "boogie" stuff but had never come across this particular roy ayers cut I realy like it
    But your right dosn't compare to his earlier work
    Very Different style dude :D

    Yes I saw Roy live here in manchester last year at a quite intimate bar which I much prefer to big gigs, & I must say he can still do it! His track 'Poo Poo La La' is a very amusing part of his repertoir.
