Yes and yes, I'm afraid. Granted, the dynamic limiting is more transparent than the Unidisc edition, but both cut off part of the intro.
Today I just found out the some of Cerrone's LP's got a US CD issue a few years ago. I was wondering if anyone here bought "Supernature"?
Im wanting to know if its the same as the others..these are the 2 questions im wanting to know about it
1. Is the first 30 secs of "Supernature" chopped off like on all the others?
2. Is it overcompressed in sound like all the others?
If anyone has the CD and can answer those questions for me that would be great! Cause if they fixed those 2 problems, i'll be buying it..if not, i'll stick to my vinyl as I have for all these years lol

Thanks for the info! Thats a damn shame. I wonder why the intro is ALWAYS cut off? Is that part of the master damaged or something? I used to have the Pure Records CD issue of "Supernature" (sold it almost as quick as I got it for the 2 reasons stated). Guess the vinyl is gonna be all that'll ever be right for this LP :(
Although I did notice that the full intro to Supernature exsists on CD..on the Grand 12"rs collection..pretty sure thats a needle drop though.

my "Supernature" CD is part of a 2 fer that pairs it with "The Golden Touch". If "Supernature"'s title track is edited I haven't noticed because that's not my favorite track (though I do love it)....it's the glorious 3 song suite that we all know and love that I bought the disc for, and it was a big bonus that the "Music of Life" was also on the same disc. I can't read the info about where the disc originated from as it's not in English, but here's some of it: Po3HU4HaR npogaka: www.soundcheck.ru I'll bet the company that released it is long gone now, but another thing I like about it is it reproduced the "Cotillion" label the album was released on. And if it's a bootleg, my disco damaged ears can't tell the difference. As long as I have the bright, intoxicating "Give Me Love"/"Love is Here"/"Love is the Answer" medley on CD I'm a happy camper because I was wearing my album OUT quickly. 11/20/2009
