I'm not 100 % about this one,but what about Janet D'eon ?
She released a track called 'Anything Like You' on Power records in 1988.
I bought it as soon as it was released. The very first copy I bought was defective since it had a huge bubble that made the needle skip. The store had 2 copies and gave me the other one. I've never seen a lot of those on the market. The label,Solo Records was a very small label...and only issued very few releases.
I remember watching Pierre Perpall dance on TV when I was a very young kid. He sure can move !! Last I heard - he was doing club dates/special appearances with his very good friend Nancy Martinez.

Here's another group, the LP was recorded in Toronto.

thanks for the post, Colin
what's the song @ 26:20 btw ?
If you buy this record your life, will be better.
Me bad for not participating much in this thread, but I have to say its made for some really fascinating reading. One artist I always assumed was Canadian was Vera who had several songs out including "Take Me To The Bridge" and "Joey, Joey". I'm probably wrong and she's likely not Canadian.

Also what about the following groups? Canadian?
Paris Connection
Grand Tour
Southern Exposure (a THP Production)
Sticky Fingers (a THP Production)
Something I was wondering as I read this thread is I guess most of the Canadian disco product was primarily recorded in Montreal, with some degree of material recorded in Toronto. Was there any material record in Vancouver or disco artist from Vancouver? I'm sure Denise McCann will come to mind, but she's originally an American that adopted Canada as her homeland. She now lives on an island off Vancouver with husband Randy Bachman.

Nope, that was Alec R. Costandinos.
Canadian producers with some American musicians AFAIK.
At the time, Vancouver hadn't yet really established itself in the music scene and there weren't a lot of suitable recording studios in the city. Heart's debut "Dreamboat Annie" was one of the first really big albums to be recorded there, but it was a fairly low-budget affair (I think they only chose Vancouver because someone involved in the project was a draft-dodger and it was close to Seattle).
Bryan Adams' "Let Me Take You Dancing" was mixed in NYC and Bryan would like us all to forget about that, so I don't know if that counts either.
Jim Vallance says that Let Me Take You Dancing was recorded in Vancouver. This article is fascinating reading on the recording and overdub sessions. The remixing took place in NYC:

Before the Bryan Adams track, the only dance genre tracks I can think of that were recorded in Vancouver were by the Incredible Bongo Band, but just their first LP.The original version of "Let Me Take You Dancing" was recorded by Geoff Turner at Pinewood Studios in Vancouver...Luongo flew up to Vancouver where we'd booked an evening at Little Mountain Sound....

Ah, I guess my memory is failing. I thought Luongo mixed it in NYC.
The article says he did mix it there. So you were right. But the overdubbed instruments were done in Vancouver.
Vallance has three samples of the different mixes. The canadian single mix was done before Luongo got his hands on the recording, so I don't see how Bryan Adams can still hate the song when the original released version already had him with a fairly high pitched voice.

Wasn't Touché's 1979 album (featuring Take a look but don't touch) produced in Vancouver by Bob Buckley & Jim Vallance ?

Not exactly a Canadian disco artist, but a Canadian artist who did one disco tune. Bill Amesbury was well known for his '73 hit Virginia. But in '77 he recorded this dance number, which I'm not sure was a Canadian production. Either way, he's a Canadian who did disco

I was going to put this on the new discoveries thread....but I think it's more significant to mention it here....
...doesn't appear that David Boydell has been included yet.
What a hypnotic little number from 1978 .... made especially so while watching the video attached to it:
RED LIGHT
becomes flutey toward the end ...
hmmmm .......what would you mix it with???
