    Red face 70's-Early 80's R&B ballad titled 'Sunrise'

    Thanks in advance for your assistance... I am trying to find the artist who performed a ballad in the late 70's early 80's titled "Sunrise"... I think the lyrics were something like '...Sun-rise...thank you for today' by a female vocalist. I hated the record as a kid (my sister played the grooves off of it... lol) but it popped up in a conversation with old friends... and I hate being stomped about music...

    I don't know this tune...but I see a Soul chart hit in 1980 called "Sunrise" by Slick....[Brandi Wells was their lead vocalist]...maybe this is it?

    Could it be Weldon Irvine or Twennynine's "Morning Sunrise" which was written by Donald Blackman? It's male vocals but in a high falsetto.
