I can help!!!! The female singer on Frankie Valli's "Our Day Will Come" is none other than the wonderful Miss Patti Austin!!!! :D
This disco song, 1975, disturbs me a lot. I'd like to know the name of the female singer on this song, she does a little duet with Frankie Valli, I can't find her name anywhere. Maybe it's not easy. Thanks any help !!!

How did you come by that info? I went looking after I pulled his "Best of" lp lastnight and found squat. Plus, it's an odd 'duet'. She appears in the middle of the song, more like a backgrounder taking the lead for a short while.
Is this 'insider' infoLittle, Bro?

Geez, I thought this was common knowledge!!!!![]()
Well, I have the LP and she's credited on the back cover, as I remember. I'm positive about this.
This was very early in her recording career, a year before she actually recorded her first LP for CTI in 1976. Valli's LP was on Private Stock, so the song wouldn't appear on any of her back catalogue compilations.
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Fair enough. There are no credits given on the "Best of" lp, which I found annoying. AMG gave Patti credits for a couple of other songs but not this one.Originally Written by markydefad

Well, of course, I had to pull the Frankie Valli LP last night.
The credit is: "Girl solo voice on "Our Day will Come": Patti Austin. The background vocals on that track are by David Lasley, Arnold McCuller & Sharon Redd. Frankie had good taste in background singers!!!! Lasley & McCuller are regulars on all James Taylor's CD's and tour with him. "Yolanda" (Ullanda) MCcullough is also featured as a backup singer and Miss Patti is on two other tracks, also.
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Oh, and I forgot to mention....
Miss Patti Austin is nominated for a Grammy this year!!!!
In the Jazz Vocal category, for her Ella Fitzgerald tribute "For Ella". (Natalie Cole, Diana Krall, Etta James and someone else I didn't know are the competition).
I'm rooting for Miss Patti...one of the finest singers around, and so under-appreciated (at least, commercially).

I'm with you there Marky. Patti Austin is one of my favourite singers of all-time along with Anita Baker & Stephanie Mills (they sing their hearts out but dont 'screech'!)
BTW, I also like Dionne Warwick's version of 'Our Day Will Come'. Its such a lovely song, one of those that's uplifting yet melancholly at the same time if you know what I mean!
...ya gotta beat the street......
Speaking of Patti, did anyone notice her vocal appearence on one of the best tracks of last year??
"Like a Butterfly (You Send Me)" by Masters At Work.
Be sure to check out the long version of the song, though.
I simply cannot praise this track enough. Sheer disco magic for the new millinium. Soulfull and with great respect for the musical style we all love so much.
