Patrick Cowley's unreleased mix of Hills of Katmandu

Apologies if this has been posted before, but someone at Youtube has uploaded an edit of Cowley's unreleased Katmandu mix:

YouTube - Tantra - Hills Of Katmandu (Unreleased Patrick Cowley Remix)

Trawling through the boards I see others have already suspected the released version of the remix (as heard on the Unidisc 12" and Suss'd's recent "Deep Disco Culture Volume 2") was an early version of the mix, without the actual synth overdubs Cowley had created for it. I also see someone has the actual acetate for sale on ebay (for only $130 or so...!).

Looks like the full version of this "real" remix runs 12:32. Does anyone know if it's ever been released -- officially or unofficially?

while we're on the subject of Tantra, I just bought "New York" by Nuggets (most of the songs were written by Celso Valli and Anthony Taylor, who contributed much to the Tantra album). I love the music (it seems to be disco and soul at the same time) but I can't figure out if the 6 track record I have is a full length album or some kind of 12" version of an album. Anyone know?

I was the one who had the edit up on youtube..it was never released. The "real" remix runs a little over 14 mins..the 12 min one was the blueprint for the mix that Unidisc got their hands on after Cowley's passing.

Does somebody have an idea who produced/mixed the "Underground Mix" (14:00) of Hills of Katmandu?

It first appeared on Hot Tracks' "Hot Classics" Issue 4
It was released in 1985, while Cameron Paul was HT's Producer.

    HC-4, single disc
    Side B, Track 2
    Tantra - "Hills of Katmandu"
    Original Underground mix
    Time: 14'00"

Digitally Re-Mastered and Re-Released on "The Hot Classics Box Set"
Released in 1993, while Chris Cox was HT's Producer.
    Disc 4, Track 6
    Tantra - "Hills of Katmandu"
    Time: 14'00"

Both releases have all the additional synths, but neither states who did the mix.

You have the LP. The 12" was an edited-down version of "New York / Harlem Session".
