Some years ago, we went to Universal Studios California, and we sat in the "original" KITT, even talked with it :icon_cool:.

Ha! ha! I was wondering what you meant! Surprised they chose the Mustang though. The Firebird design in the original series had that flat, discreet, "sweeping" stance that fitted Kitt's persona to -almost- perfection. The Mustang design has somewhat more flamboyance to it.

As far as Firebirds go, my faves would be the 1977 Trans Am/Formula.

GM is about to launch the new Camaro, right?
So there will be a new Firebird as well, they could have used that instead of the Mustang, i.m.o.

Hey I guess I shouldn't knock 'em. I used to own 1990 5 litre mustang.
Anyway, I hope GM introduces a 'Bird as well. It better have those pop-up headlights.
