In the 1rst track you can hear the Japanese flute , so it could be from Kazu Matsui , John Kaizan Neptune , or perhaps Hiroshima.
I have a few albums of them , so i'll have to check those.
The 2nd one sounds SO familiar ... i have it , and once mixed it on a tape ... wow... it's on the tip of my tongue ... could indeed be the Crusaders , but also tracks from the debut-album ( 1979 ) of guitarist Robben Ford , Yellowjackets and keyboardist Tom Grant come to mind ... hope to find it soon.
Now that i'm thinking again of the 2nd track ... i'm getting a strong feeling that it's from keyboardist Neil Larsen , who recorded 2 albums in the late 70's on A&M's sub-label , Horizon Records ( Seawind released on that label too ).
Neil Larsen's albums are titled "Jungle Fever" and "High Gear".
I'll let you know once iv'e checked the records.
Greetings,

That 2nd track sounds to my ears like something produced by either Bob James or Dave Grusin. I'll be interested to find out as I love jazz-fusion.![]()
...ya gotta beat the street......
Jazzfusion is cool indeed
The 2nd track is "Emerald City" , from Neil Larsen's "Jungle Fever"-album.
I re-listened this sphereful album today , after not having heard it for a long time.
Hope to find out the 1rst track as well

Thank you very much!! :icon_biggrin:
You're welcome afromania ;)
And thank you for reminding me of this album ... enjoyed hearing it again.
Incredible saxophone-solo in "Emerald City" , by the late & great Michael Brecker ...
I dig that brief mention of the radio-station by the dj ("izzi com tona Radio Zurra !" (lol) ) ... kinda gives an atmosphere to the broadcast-show ... the voice of the dj sounds somewhat from Eastern-Europe ( Russian , Polish , etc ... )
Greetz ,
