I find it interesting that I sometimes see this credited to Silvetti. I know he was part of the writing team but the 12" credits Salsoul Strings as the artist. Did Mr. Silvetti also do a version on his own?

    Hi NicKNack,

The song "Sun After The Rain" (M.Tattis-B.Silvetti) is on album called "Concert From The Stars", 1978, 6:23, Hispavox label. All songs are directed by Bebu Silvetti & Rafael Trabucchelli. Is there another version ? Interesting !!!

    Nicky,

There are two versions of this song. One by Silvetti on Sire and the second by Salsoul Strings on Salsoul. I have both and I prefer Silvetti's version.

Thanks, guys. So Silvetti's came out a year earlier, in '78. I really have to find this. Would love to hear it and compare. I only know the Salsoul version.

I would love to hear "Sun After The Rain"!! Silvetti's "Spring Rain" is one of my top disco hits so I know that part 2 has to be good! Is it available on cd and where????

    Marcio & Bernie,

Thanks guys for the info because as I was hunting the net I thought: "Wait a minute... 1978? I should have a promo on Sire." Sure enough, I just found the most WONDERFUL, 9:40 version of Sun After the Rain. I knew I used to play this but everytime I looked for it I was checking Salsoul. Interesting that this is the 'B' side. The 'A' side is Concert From the Stars, 9:17. Both remixes are by Roy Thode. Excellent! :D

I'm going to have to break out the ginko 'cause I am forgetting too many things.

Bebu Silvetti is excellent and sweet !

1976 - He did a disco version of "Volare" and others songs, horrible !!!

1977 - He did the album "I Love You", worderful, it contains the songs "Piano", "I Love You", "Coconut Rain", "Voyage Of No Return", "Spring Rain", "A Smile At Dawn", "Just A Game" and "Why (Can't I Live This Romance)".

1978 - He did this album "Concert From The Stars", it contains "Sun After Rain" (this song has lyrics and Silvetti is playing a synthesizer now, he abandoned the piano), "Sky Lab", "Love Secrets", "Velvet Hands", "Goodbye Manhattan", "One Note Samba" and "Concert From The Stars".
