#7 Giorgio Moroder - Valley of The Dolls --- So 'head trip'. I used to drive The Anvil crazy with this. They were :-? .

8) #18 Wright Combination - Discomance 8) --- One of my fave all-time sleaze pieces. You are the first I've ever met to mention this song. THANK YOU! I always wondered if this group did an lp or anything else besides this.

#33 Anthony White - I Can't Turn You Loose --- Most people only mention the instrumental version, Block Party. I liked to run both sides so people could get a taste of this Otis Redding classic redone.

It makes me proud that you like my listings. I would like
to know more about THE ANVIL. Where was it (New York?)

Yes, 14th Street and West Side Highway, New York City. I don't know if you get to see the tv show "Law & Order", but every now and then they film in the "meat packing district" in Manhattan. The Anvil was in the heart of all this on a 'triangle' and a couple of hundred feet away from the Hudson River.

Was Felipe Rose (Village People) really a GoGoDancer there?

Yes. Felipe was already working there when I was hired. He danced the bar and did regular shows on stage, all in his Native American outfit.

I'll have to check my albums and listen. I'd be surprised if they were singing about the club, especially the Weather Girls :o . Friends of Sylvester or not, I don't think they were ready for this place.

There is a rumour that STEVE STRANGE from VISAGE
was so impressed of THE ANVIL that he made this
