don't you mean that the rolling stones, like countless other rock bands in the 70s, jumped on the disco bandwagon at the behest of their capitalist, profit-driven record companies?

Aw c'mon guys...the Stones almost always had some tunes aimed for the dance floor on their LPs...not that common with huge rock groups back then...they often had an r&b vibe in their best tunes....
Who, among the stone throwers, [get it? hehehe] :icon_razz: didn't dance to "Brown Sugar" or "Honky Tonk Women"?????![]()

"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
I've never understood the appeal of the Rolling Stones. :icon_confused:![]()
I, for one, always thought their "Hot Stuff" song, from 1976, sounded way ahead of the time, having a Talking Heads/Tom Tom Club/ NY No-Wave vibe (from the early 80's)...the Stones don't get credit for this, either!
we can fly...above the sky...
well they did many covers of R&B and Motown stuff in their early years so that they tour doing "Love train" 40 years later is very fitting, and a wonderful tribute to black music in general from the biggest rock band in the world, regardless if you like their music or not.
that said, that recording of "Emotional Rescue" IMHO should be declared patrimony of humanity without further delay :icon_cool:
It don't mean a thing (if ain't got that swing)
