I think I only have the original mix on a 12" but it has that other song on the flip side ["I Fell In Love With An ANgel"...something]...I'll have to check my records tonight...I've been looking for the remix for a long time...it appears that GEMM has both versions...but not as downloads...just vinyl.

Yeah, reading the Vault descriptions...the REMIX version is the 5:29 one [odd that it's shorter!!!] and has the same mix on BOTH sides...

I only have the original mix on 12"...never found the REMIX.

Someone must have it available as a download...

This was a record played at Trocadero that I thought sounded like the Bee Gees (because of the falsetto chorus); one day I sang the chorus ...with "da-da-da-da-dah's" to a clerk at Aloha Records in SF and he said..."Oh, that's Tod Foster."...so I was happy I'd found it...only later did I find out there was a more desirable REMIX of the tune...that has eluded my for all these years!!!

Marky i have been on this (looking for the download) for a week, putting in several hours a day into it, i can't find it. Yes the falsetto voice in the track had me swearing it was the Bee Gees when i first started looking for it which took me about six months to find out abt Tod Foster whom i never heard of before this song.

I am glad you finally found the remix and if my interest in this track assisted thats great. I would of loved to hear you sing the "da-da-da-da-dah's" to that clerk.

If you run across anybody who has that download please get back to me, or if you ever put your version on disk, please let me know.

    Re: Tod Foster

    Chala,

I sang to the Aloha clerk circa 1980--27 years ago!!!

    I have two 12" singles:

    1) commercial release: A) Dancin' (6:55)/ B) I Fell In Love With An Angel (4:16)

    2) promo release: A) Dancin' (6:55)/ B) Dancin' (6:55)

you would seem to want the third version which I don't have:

    3) promo remix: A) Dancin' (5:29)/ B) Dancin' (5:29)

Good luck...someone will have it...be patient.

    Re: Tod Foster

    Not necessarily i would love to get my hands on either one of the 6:55 long versions;

    1) commercial release: A) Dancin' (6:55)/ B) I Fell In Love With An Angel (4:16)

    2) promo release: A) Dancin' (6:55)/ B) Dancin' (6:55)

If you ever put them on CD or hard disk, please let me know, and yes 1980 was a good year i remember it well ;-)
