I'm making a documentary about the hacienda club in manchester owned by new order and factory records. Tony wilson owner of factory says the hacienda was inspired by danceteria fun house and hurrahs
I'm back referencing where the roots of the hacienda club came from.
I'm looking for photos or archive footage of paradise garage danceteria fun house and hurrahs
I'm looking for any pics or footage of people dancing, the dj's, the dancefloor, the entrance. anything of the clubs in the early eighties.
Marie (Tuna) had some great shots on the funhouse thread but i can't seem to contact her. can anybody pass this message on.
the film will be shown on current in the us and uk
look forward to hearing from you.

Peter

Hi
Check out the DVD 'Maestro'. It details the club scene in NY during the late 70s and early 80s, and has plenty of footage from inside the Paradise Garage and The Loft, as well as interviews with notable figures in the scene, such as David Mancuso, Nicky Siano, as well as various punters.
All the best,
The Boogie Doctor
Are you the same Peter Walsh that produced 'Dont Hold Back Your Love' by Loose Ends & 'New Gold Dream' by Simple Minds? If so I'm a fan! The sound on those records was amazing; both very different groups but the sound on both was hypnotic & luxurious IMO.![]()
