Need Info On An Amant LP

Ok all,
I need to know what was Amant's second LP? The one with "Dont Bring Back Memories" and "In New York" (not to be confused with their 1982 track "New York Nights"). I really want these tracks on vinyl, help.. actually a compleate discography would be cool if someone knows

They released one album on Prelude in 1980

Don't forget another Ray Martinez group called Sassy. They did Theme from Disco 77 on TK.

He had another 'Freestyle' local hit with "By pushing", released on a local label around '85, (can't remember the artist's name now), I don't know if this cut was ever picked up by any of the majors, I wonder how he's doing ?, I used to see him often at a local record shop.

Hi Mix,

"I'm Free" is a cover of the one he did earlier as Ray Martinez and Friends with Patty Zayas on vocals which has "The Natives Are Restless" on Impote12.

I also have a Celi Bee 12" called "I Can't Let Go" on Dice from 1987 produced by Lewis Martinee. There are four different mixes with one called the "Miami Dub Mix" and a "Hot Mix" by Randy Easterling and Thom Kidd. Haven't played this in eons so I'll do it right now.

I have that 1980 Passion LP on CD & its really good 'cos it contains extra tracks from later Passion LPs like 'Dont Stop My Love' which was written by Kashif & is in that slower, funkier disco style that became popular '81 onwards. I also like it because it has the original saucy artwork!

Happy new year everyone!! So I see that this is an alias called Passion im looking for. All those tracks are on the Amant greatest hits CD though. Well at least that explains why I could never find it lol. Prelude, not TK and Passion, not Amant. It's just Ray Martinez lol (like love and kisses, paris connection, sumeria, etc..= alec r costandinos). Thanx a bundle and happy new year to all!!

Haven't seen the vinyl anywhere but the import CD that Steely Dan mentioned is on Amazon.co.uk.

Ray Martinez produced a 12" from Foxy in 1977:
"Let's love"/"People fall in love(while dancing)" on TK Rec.
I like it, it has the typical Martinez strings.

I first heard "Dance,freak and boogie" in 1981 on Hot Plate 1 on Ramshorn. The album i bought a year later. My other fave is "Love is in you", especially the remix. From the other tracks i prefer the album versions.

Yes, I prefer the original tracks on the 'Disco choo Choo' LP too. As u may have noticed I'm not a fan of remixes (if it aint broke why fix it?!) with a few exceptions.
