    Pavillion tape 2 side A

Just finish converting side one of tape 2 onto cd. I got all but 2
out of 10 songs (the ginko must be kicking in).
One is an instrumental and the tume reminds me of a classical
piece possibly Ravel. and the second has lyrics. Unfortunately the lyrics are a little hard to make out on most of the song. Here's was little a could make out. Male vocalist

My (not sure of the word) haunts me
    I'm standing inside your stare

the chorus has this line "I ain't supersitious about your love"

I've posted short clips of these two at

    http://www.spiritofradio.ca/SongSearch.asp

under my name Lorne Golblum and they should be the first two from the top if no one else has posted since I did.
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year

The instrumental track is definetly inspired by Ravel.
A disco version of his "Bolero"

a very cheesy disco version was made in 1977 by a flute player named Thijs Van Leer .
It was also featured in the movie "10" with Bo Derek And dudley moore.
    There was life after disco!!

    Hello there,

your samples 143.mp3 and 147.mp3 are:

BB BAND: "All night long" on Zanza Records from 1982
KEBEKELEKRTIK: "Bolero" (or maybe "War dance")on Salsoul from 1978

    Thanks Giovanni,
The BB Band answer now completes the play list for Pavillion 1
and I'll check out Kebekelekrtik on Winmx, it's most likely the Bolero. Happy New Year

just downloaded both Kebekelekrtick songs and the one that's on the master is the "War Dance". Couldn't find the "All Night Long" by BB Band however AMG has a song listed by BB & Q Band "All Night Long (She's Got The Moves I Like)" on the album of the same name (1982).

BB Band is a different entity from BB&Q Band.
Strangely, both groups are from Italy.

BB&Q is another well known outlet of the Jacques Fred Petrus/Mauro Malavasi team. The song "All night long (she got the moves I like)" is from their second album on Capitol from 1982 and is a beautiful downtempo boogie track.

BB Band is probably the first release of another powerful team, that of Mario Boncaldo (later to be known for his Klein & MBO Orchestra and his pivotal proto-house album) and Tony Carrasco (formerly dj at 54 NY, relocated in Milan at the beginnjing of the 80s where he contributed to the birth of the so called italo-disco).
They released only one album on the italian Zanza label, titled "Wee the people"

    Giovanni,
I downloaded the BB & Q "All Night Long" and it's not the correct one. I guess the BB Band is the right one after all. I just wish I could download it because I really like the song and would like to use it on one of my own compilations. Thanks again for your input.
