Bond 22! "Quantum Of Solace"

As I am a BIG James Bond fan maybe it's time to start spreading gossip and facts about the forthcoming new Bond-movie.

"Bond 22" is the 22nd Bond film produced by franchise holders Eon Productions. Daniel Craig will be returning as James Bond.

The new movie will be directed by Marc Forster and is scripted by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and Paul Haggis. The film is scheduled for release on 7th November 2008 and will continue where "Casino Royale" ended. Bond is going after the organisation that hired Le Chiffre.

Miss Moneypenny and Q will probably not feature in the new one, just like they were absent in CR.

The title track was offered at Amy Winehouse but accordingly, due to Amy's "health" problems the producers would pick X-Factor winner Leona Lewis.

One of the main ingredients of the Bond-recipe is of course the Bondgirl.

Eva Green will likely return as Vesper Lynd and Sienna Miller, Moran Atias and Fulya Keskin are also on the shortlist of candidates although producer Barbara Broccoli insists that there will be an Asian or Latin-American female star.

And today the title was revealed: "Quantum Of Solace" which is in fact the title of a short story written by Sir Alexander Fleming:

The news is out that a small but very important part, the boss of the terrorist organisation (S.P.E.C.T.R.E.?) will be played by no one other than....

Al Pacino and thus he will be following in the footsteps of Christopher Walken, Christopher Lee en Robert Carlyle!

Other news: Amy Winehouse is given a second chance to write and sing the theme song under the strict condition that she fights her drug and alcohol addiction.

I was just wondering after seeing this ad with the original Bond, Sir Sean Connery. He's driving the same car as I do, but would it work in the new Bond? James would be very comfortable in it,that's for sure.

Just in: Sir Sean Connery has proposed to play a part in the new Bond! He wants to play an "evil" character. He also praised Daniel Craig and called him the best Bond for today's generation!

The Bad, The Beautiful and the James, last week on location in Austria!

I am a big fan of James Bond and excited for his up coming movie.

Well, I just can't get excited about the new 007 films. I'm just spoiled by the old Bond movies, especially those with Connery.
I do understand though that this Bond should work for this generation. It's scenes like this from Thunderball, below, that I just love. By the way, Martine Beswick (Paula in that movie) is an absolute babe.
