My favorite dance music years were 83-84 in Mtl. I was 17, so I'd stay home with my friends and listen and tape Mario Tremblay Fridays and Michel Cadoche(if memory serves me correctly) Saturdays from 10 o'clock. I'd also listen to Denis Proulx weekdays (Flashdance). The tapes don't exist anymore, but I've got most of the music on CD. I'm a big fan of the local/canadian club hits from then, and the less commercial american/euro/italo dance.
