Thanks for posting that link! I've occasionally looked for Soul Train performances by artists, but I didn't think to look for The Sisters Love, I don't recall.

This track was actually on the Magic Disco Machine first LP, in instrumental form. When I discovered this, I thought it would be on CD, but sadly the compilation CD put out of Sisters Love material (Soul Brother label?) doesn't include this great track.

I'm gonna check out the other clips including Give Me Your Love. Thanks again!

I'll look out for the Magic Disco Machine album because the backing track must sound awesome on its own.

I don't have the Sisters version - its the flip of 'Give Me Your Love' and I don't have it on 45 .

I think the compilation was on the Soul Jazz label.

I approached Universal UK a few years ago with a full proposal to do a Sisters Love comp with them, including the whole unreleased album the girls had while at Motown plus some obscure sides (but possibly not all of them - they're on a Disco Tex album as The Chocolate Kisses for instance!) and some of Vermettya Roysters solo tracks but they turned it down. Vermettya was one of Clara Ward's girls and an Ikette too...her stage moves show the Clara Ward influence.

This is later but equally fantastic .. The Empress Of Soul in full flow..so elegant, understated and controlled but threatening to break out at any moment.

I know...very expensive ! I have the long, later remix (cant remember who by) on a (bootleg) 12" E.P. but no 45.

Just realised I forgot to put the link in my post above !

So here it is - Sister Love "Learning To Trust My Man" This didn't even get a release in the US !
