Well, unless it's Dennis Kucinich, I'll be voting Green
Republican Party
Democratic Party
Green Party
Reform Party
Other Party
Over the past months we have seen people post in a positive and negative way on the Republicans, the Democrats and other parties.
After DFC99BB posts on Hillary Clinton and on the Oakland incident, I thought of starting a new presidential poll because I'm curious if your opinion has changed over the past months.
Your vote is anonymous!
So, who's gonna win the ol' WH?
Well, unless it's Dennis Kucinich, I'll be voting Green
Find them and destroy them!
I may sit this one out as I did the last election.
I am not a happy American.
The democRats are not the loyal opposition only socialists and the republicans have the war in Iraq all screwed up and they have destroyed our economy with their slavish devotion to "Free Trade". "Free Trade" is a scam. The weak dollar and monthly balance of payments numbers prove it. You can't buy anything in this country without a "Made In China" label. I'm completely disgusted.
When you must beg the enemy for the necessities of daily life you become his slave.
Paul, who are the candidates for the Green Party? And does the Reform party still have some genuine people?
As you have all seen, I included a "Other Party" on purpose. Here's why.
Last parliamentary elections in Belgium had a surprising result. In Flanders Lijst Dedecker got 6.5 % of the votes and thus 5 seats which is an awesome result for a party that was formed only at the end of 2006. Could this be possible in the US? Let me explain, could a new party be formed now and could their candidate stand a chance in 2008?
"could a new party be formed now and could their candidate stand a chance in 2008"
No. The power of incumbency with all of the money and the political machines behind incumbency (we call it constituent service) freezes third party candidates out. We've had good third party candidates barely get any votes. To force reform in our politics the people will have to force a political crisis and I don't see that happening. Though massive grassroots efforts on the local and state levels may force incumbents to change policy.
My key issue is "Free Trade". The industrialized democracies, especially the USA, have to force an end to or severe limits on "Free Trade". Communist China does not belong in the WTO. Our government is destroying our economy through "Free Trade' and a weak dollar.
A list of 3rd party candidates can be found here Johan and everyone else.

DM is right, it will be very hard for a 3rd party to get in. In fact, even inside the dem party it's hard for the true liberals to have any power.
What we ultimately need is public campaign financing in the US.
Find them and destroy them!
May help. One thing is for sure that the money in US politics now has corrupted it. The Government now belongs to the corporations. That's what "Free Trade" is all about. What we ultimately need is public campaign financing in the US
"Free Trade" as currently practiced must end.
