    Queen of Fools (cover version)

    Hi,

Have been trying to find a disco cover version of Queen of Fools for 20 years. Artist unknown, released around 1985/86. Included in the song are the vocalisations 'hoo... ha' and synthesiser type sound.

    This was a 12" remix?

Hi Ivan....theres certainly a second version...not quite the same song tho !

You won't believe me but I was just looking at it to play !! (I've just played 'Souvenirs by Voyage)

(They Call Me The) Queen Of Fools by Jessica Williams on Passion 6. Mines on a white label so cant tell you much more...but I bet someone else here can !

Think that version -together with the original- is on the cd: Harem Records Presents: The Definitive 12 Inch Collection

    (disc 2 track 4)

(Not sure, but I think it's the '86 mix: Link)

I just dug a bit deeper and I found another one ..and this one has a label !

(They Me Call The ) Queen Of Fools (Re-Mix) - Jessica Williams - Passion 12 6 ...but this is different mix to the white 12" label I have although it has the same label number.

Worth pointing out '(They Call Me The) Queen Of Fools' is a different song to 'Queen Of Fools' by Jessica Williams , although Simon Soussan was involved in both of them.

Useless trivia bit....Simon Soussan was heavily involved with the early days of the Northern Soul scene.. and a different song called 'Queen Of Fools' by Barbara Mills was a big Northern hit !

    Thanks,

Will be over the moon if this is the one :icon_razz::icon_razz::icon_razz:. Not sure how to get hold of this, are labels like this still available to be purchased on CD somewhere?
