they say it's her first album of new material in 10 years. But "Come to My House", her collaboration with Prince, was an album of new material, and it ws released in 1998. And while we're talking about Chaka, has anyone heard her song called "Give Me All" (from the album "The Woman I Am"). It seems to have the rhythm track from Taana Gardner's immortal "HeartBeat" but doesn't credit the original song as a sample. Anyone heard it or agree?
Yes I hear the similarity but interpolations (where the current producer or musician would play that phrase instead of a sample) where quite common in 1992. Other groups that did this were Intro and Simple Pleasure and they did it rather well.
