talking bout BILLY GRIFFIN or REGGIE GRIFFIN?
Does anybody know anything about Griffin. He made a track called "Hot Fingers" in 1984 and and album by the same name (on Qwest).
But what happened then?
I believe I have seen his name since but I can't remember where.
Any Help Out There???

It's definetly not Billy Griffin. It has a more electro/break kinda feel to it with vocoders an all.
Might be Reggie - there's no first name mentioned on the album.
you're talking about Reggie Griffin, who was based out of Columbus, Ohio(???) i got that "hot fingers" album and i especially like "move" and that other cut called "lock it up and rock it (the wild thing)" even with the brief cheesy female-male dialogue (the wild thing? the wild thing... the wild thing? that's right, the wild thing.) Reggie also produced the theme song from 1984's "Beat Street" for Flash and the Furious Five...going back to 1981, him and George Kerr wrote and produced for a group on Venture Records called "Redd Hott" which made the song "big fat bottom".
Reggie Griffin also did 2 12"s on the obscure SWEET MOUNTAIN label (a sublabel of Sugarhill) in 1981 & 1982, titled "Whisper in your ear" (a beautiful soul disco tune) and "Mirda rock" (kind of electro stuff)
Thanks, guys. :)
Just pulled out my beat street soundtrack album and it seems that "Beat Street Breakdown" was written partly by Reggie. I suppose that's where I've seen his name apart from his own album.
Lock it Up & Rock it, Kelvy.
I Like "Throwdown" myself. Sounds like a mixup of Electricity by Midnight Star & the Bar-kays' Freakshow on The Dance Floor.
Also the ultra cheesy "No Humans Allowed" is worth a mention.
Aah - Spacy sounds & Soul Glow Jheri Curls - Ain't life Grand.
