Stillwatch: I was here for all of the Bay Area's golden disco years and I don't remember Studio West, but in that period, many clubs came and went quickly. Even for successful and well established clubs, though (Oil Can Harry's, Trocadero Transfer, Buzzby's, the 181 Club, the I Beam) I don't remember very many people taking or even attempting to take pictures inside of clubs. Keep in mind that cell phone cameras and computers didn't exist then and even if they had, we thought the good times were here to stay so pictures didn't really occur to most of us. We thought only tourist trash took pictures. If I were you I'd probably try to contact either newspapers or the independent news magazines that existed then. Good luck to you. Sometimes I wish I had pictures of those great memories, and other times I'm glad I don't.
