You're a fan Graham? Sorry, I wish I could help. I had a friend who now lives in Northern Cali. that loved his stuff. Was it popular in the Great White North?
This is a long shot, but...
I found out a while ago that there's more than one version of Captain Sky's "Adventures of..." LP. So far I have found two versions, but I suspect there may be another.
The original has the following tracklisting for side 2:
1 - Now That I Have You (3:38)
2 - Wonder Worm (13:15)
3 - Can't Stop Now (5:50)
I have a later version which has the following tracklisting for side 2:
1 - Dr. Rock (6:45)
2 - Wonder Worm (With Tones) (8:03)
3 - Can't Stop Now (5:50)
They both have the same sleeve with the original tracklisting. The catalog number on the original label is AVI-6042, whereas it's AVI-6042-3 on the later one... which makes me wonder if there's another version with AVI 6042-2... anyone know?

Find them and destroy them!
Hey Graham
I was always blown away by the interesting jacket and the fact that such a P funk influenced record would come out on such a disco identified label as AVI.

No, these records are really, really hard to find up here. I don't even know if they got released here at all; every copy I've seen is a US one.
To make matters worse, they're pressed on AVI's infamously bad vinyl, *and* these albums only ever seem to come up in very poor condition. I'm going to give a try cleaning this one up, but my copy of the original version is so bad that it might be a write-off.
hmmmmm difficult this one....
AVI (Américan Variety International)
lists the AVI stuff but only has it as avi6042
But some interesting stuff on Captain Sky can be found
Captain Sky
Okay, I think that one explains it. The second version dropped "Super Sporm" in favour of "Dr. Rock". The third version brought back "Super Sporm" but dropped "Now That I Have You" and edited/remixed "Wonder Worm".
That's insane! Why would they put out the same LP three different ways? And it's not like it was by some big name artist. He was a newcomer. The most I've ever seen was 2, which was the TGIF soundtrack (maybe there were three?) and a John Davis LP or 2.
Disco Funk
I'm assuming because he came out with the "Dr Rock" single shortly after the album was finished, but he wasn't ready to do a full follow-up. Or perhaps AVI wanted a version without "Super Sporm"... after all, there are two versions of the cover of Le Pamplemousse's "Le Spank", although the music is the same on both.
