There's something even more about BOOGIE OOGIE OOGIE

    *****

I feel the heat of the disco mob breathing down my neck with guns cocked concerning WE ARE FAMILY .

So I (with hesitation:icon_razz:) offer this diversion :

As rare as the category of disco music WE ARE FAMILY is placed in because of what I hear AND don't hear in its sound ......

.....:icon_rolleyes:........there's an even more rare disco sound category ...... :icon_eek: :icon_eek: :icon_eek: I would venture to say the rarest of them all

One that Taste Of Honey's BOOGIE OOGIE OOGIE falls into .

    Why ?? .... Well, it's again because of what I don't hear in it :icon_biggrin: :icon_rolleyes:

    AND ....

as well as a certain something else I don't hear in it !!!! ........

    (I think)

Here we go again....no violins, percussion (congas etc), and brass (i.e. trumpets), the staples of all Disco music??

No and you don't hear a kazoo in it either ..... but your missing the point .... these are things ...sounds ....you'd expect to hear in a disco record ...and the fact that you don't is what puts this song in with a very select group.

Now both Headlamp and Disco Funk are on to me and I sense this is all about to end in one giant disco extra-va-gan-za !!

    but ....

....right now I need to leave to go somewhere ......:icon_razz::icon_razz::icon_razz:

Remmy, let's face it, there's a lot of instruments in Boogie Oogie and others aren't but, hey, I'm curious, because we all know that you gonna talk, right? Oh yes, you are going to talk :icon_mrgreen:

How about the face that it's women playing bass and/or guitar on the track? That's quite rare in dance.
