I recently pondered the difficulties that must have happened at times along the way for both Cissy and Thelma Houston working a common circuit with similar names. ( Both made up names too)

It's hard enough to establish a firm name association without someone else doing the same with one so similar .

So there's Thelma Houston and Cissy Houston.

Then there's Peaches and Herb ....
and right now I'm listening too Brenda and Herb..... which is what got me to thinking about this some more . ..... I wonder how many times they were asked to sing REUNITED.

Maybe there was some confusion for Syreeta and Betty Wright ....?

I mean why would he choose to put himself thru such unnecessary confusion ... even if Ryan Adams is his real name .... (??) ...why would one insist on using it when you know a name sounding so similar is already so well established??

It'd be like calling yourself Loria Gaynor and wondering why everyone wanted to hear I WILL SURVIVE !!! :icon_razz: :icon_lol: ....

Alot of people get Sharon Redd and Sharon Brown mixed up..
I see I specialize in Love by "Sharon Redd in print all the time when we know Sharon Brown did that song..
