I discovered on youtube some guy posted his mexican 45s of accidental lover and i found love by Love & Kisses. These edits/mixes are completely different from the Casablanca 45 that I have.
I was wondering if anyone has heard this on any other pressings? Maybe the UK Barclay ones have these edits? Or were these unique to Mexico?

They're the same edits as my 45's (Rei-Vera/Barclay France):

I guess I'll assume that any non-Casablanca version features the schizo-edit. :)
Actually, I like hearing alternate edits, as long as they're relatively clean on the downbeats (i.e. not too soon or not too late on the beat). Ones that sound like they were made on an acid trip are cool by me.
A while ago, I thought it would be cool to have a contest in a thread or two to see who could make the 'best' edit of a 10min plus song to under 4 minutes. Or who could extend a 3 minute song to over 5 min. Then we'd post them as links in the thread, but I'm guessing it would be a nightmare for poor Bernie dealing with copyright infringement complaints and whatnot. But it would be cool to see what parts of songs people choose as the essential sections to keep and which to discard. The only remixing that would be allowed is a little echo or phasing (swoosh distortion) to enhance the song or hide a bad edit. :)
