The history of the band under the direction of their leader Vladimir Kiseljov starts from 1976. The musicians had finished specialized school at Leningrad Conservatory and justifying the name of the band (“Zemljane” means “Earthmen”) began to sing about problems of the Earth, war, peace&world and about love between people of different nationalities. The band felt the censorship pressure for its cosmodrome-loud concert sound, rock-image and light-show-effects which were very-very unusual to the Soviet narrow person thinking. But anyway the musicians stroked by their skill in creation of songs, because from the one side their works sounded like real rock music, so near to teenagers, and from the other one their works were not rejected by the oldest generation too, because the musicians attributed very careful to their melodies and their songs were filled by the general-philosophic problems.
