Re: The phenom called "High School Musical"
In Argentina, where cheap live TV shows with Big-Brother-like elimination systems and revenues via text messaging are all the rage, now they started a reality show to look for 2 members of the cast of a future local version of High School Musical, Disney fanfare and all. So they have some 20 kids singing out of tune á la American Idol, juries putting faces and a host encouraging people to send SMS every 5 minutes.
The funny thing is, two days after the first emission it was discovered one of the female teenagers-contestants had a porn video of herself and her then-boyfriend in the web (apparently some offended cousin posted it). The next Sunday, Chachi Telesco (that's her) had dissapeared from the cast without even a word from the TV station.
In this conspiracy-themed land, some people argue it was all a "media operation" from the TV station to make news with the new show with a "Paris Hilton move". Since then, Chachi already appeared in a couple of chapters of a sitcom from the same station.
Gabriel García Márquez should be Argentinian!
It don't mean a thing (if ain't got that swing)
