Took you long enough, Remicks!! (just kidding)

Actually, back in the 90s, when the Quad City DJ CD single came out, I bought that, and saw the sampling credit to BW and 'Theme From Together Brothers' and soon after bought the LUO Best of CD.

The soundtrack isn't all instrumental, but it features some awesome cuts. Too bad they're so short! Well, when I recorded them from my vinyl copy, I decided to put all the best parts of the instrumentals (i.e. the fast parts) into a medley, and looped some sections so that the songs were made longer. It worked out pretty good, although the medley does sound a little choppy between some of the songs because of the variations in bpms (I didn't pitch down or up to beat match). The last song in the medley is the title theme.

Ya I should have doubted that sound would be an original groove created by the rip-off generation ... :icon_razz:

I wonder if there are any Barry White comments about it ???

I believe these are the same folks who had previously "created"
Whoomp! (There It Is) by "borrowing" from another disco oldie ....... I'M READY by Kano ..... (that one .... I noticed)

I'm not sure if it was the same producers. They both use the 'freestyle' beat, which was the style of drum groove popularized by Planet Rock by Afrika Bambataa (did I spell that right?), and later in the 80s was overused by artists like Stevie B. People I knew called them gino beats because people of mediterranean descent liked to blast that stuff in their cars, etc...

Tag Team was the artist that recorded Whoom There It is.

    As I understand it .....

Before Quad City DJS became Quad City DJS .....they were 95 South .... during which time they came up with WHOOT THERE IT IS ...

a tune that Tag Team "borrowed" ... making it into their own (quadruple platinum selling ) song .... ..............................

the winning quadruple selling difference??? .......... some added disco .....Kano style ....:icon_mrgreen:

    remicks,

the tipoff shoulda been that it was good
..so some sorta "lifting/borrowing/sampling" from the past was sorta obvious
    "Lost inside adorable illusion...."
