I've always enjoyed listening to The Player. I'm not too crazy about the second half of the song, where it's just hi-hat and bass-drum (the Norman Harris touch). But the first half is pure disco fire.
My runner up at this point is Breakaway from 1980. I just love the feel of the song, and the sound of the fender rhodes at the front of the mix.

It has to be 'Armed & Extremely Dangerous' for me closely followed by 'Love Thang'. I'm really surprised that nobody's mentioned 'Let No Man Put Asunder', maybe people are sick of hearing samples of it!

For me, one of the lesser knowns that I return to is GOTTA GET AWAY ... with its train imagery and the orchestra performing super tightly and sounding like its all aboard and going full steam ahead when they got together for this one ....
