I have some cd's from them that are CD-R's. Are they supposed to be like that, or just the ones I have
Best Of:
Oh Romeo
Bobby O
Fun Fun
all those on cd-r
but I have some Flirts from Hot Productions, and those are not on cd-r. Weird? :icon_rolleyes:
Can someone input on this?
Hot Productions CDs are strange 'cos sometimes they are CDRs & sometimes not. I have quite a few of their discs & most are bonafide CDs but 2 are annoyingly CDRs where the quality is rubbish (Carol Williams & Best of TK). Oddly enough, I have that Oh Romeo one you mention & it's a proper CD, not a CDR, & the qulaity is quite good. It seems that when you purchase a Hot Productions CD you take potluck as to whether you get a CD or a CDR!:icon_confused:![]()
...ya gotta beat the street......
We discussed this a few years ago and determined that Hot Productions (formerly based out of Florida) was bought out by a European company. I believe member, HotDiscoMix from Germany was the one who told us this.
Anyway, once Hot was bought out they started pressing some of their titles on CD-R whereas the original U.S. pressing were actual CDs.

I bought THE BEST OF CLAUDJA BARRY on this label and was very disappointed with it.. all the tracks were very short and mixed together..
