    Back in USSR vol.2 : ARIEL

    ARIEL was found in 1970 in Russian town of Tchelyabinsk. The composer and singer Valery Yarushin was the former of the band. In 1974 the band begins to work professionally under the direction of the Tchelyabinsk State Philharmonic Society. In 1975 the first LP “Ariel had become very popular among the music-lovers. ARIEL was one of not many Soviet bands which toured-played abroad. The band was well-known in Western Europe too and especially in Western Germany. In 1992 the ARIEL played on “THE ARKANSAS AUTUMN” – music USA festival and the musicians became honorary citizens of Little Rock town. During all its music carrier ARIEL worked in different music styles but the main and all the time feature of the band was the creating their personal works in the stylization of Russian folk songs and melodies.
