Song #2: The only song (I know) which fits the description is "Typewriter" by Object One. It was released on Max Music in 1997. If this is not it, I am afraid I don't know the right answer.
1. This song was popular in 1982, so i presume it was released in 1982 or eventually 1981. Classic disco style, a male vocal , singing
"Ho-ho-hollywood" at the chorus - that's pretty much all i can remember.
2. And another popular disco hit, from the same periode - 1981 or 1982.
Here i can't remember the lyrics at all, but the song intro started with the
sound of a typewriter - several letter typed, then the new line bell rings, all this repeated 2 or 3 times and then the melody starts.
Help anyone![]()

It's really hot - stop!!! Saaaay: Magnifique!
I remember another track that also started with a "typewriter" sample.
Overworked and Underpaid by Do It!
"Wordy Rappinghood" by Tom Tom Club starts with the sound of typing and it's early 80s...so maybe that's your #2?
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Ummmmm... I'll go with markydefad for the win here.
(Man, I love Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club!)
But just in case you were rendered unconscious in the early 80's and revived in the late 80's and were sadly left with no ability to discern between the two ends of the decade... A dance version of Bryan Ferry's "Kiss and Tell" was popular in the late 80's. It began with the sound of a typewriter.
Great man markydefad  ! That was it (the typewriter) - Tom Tom Club of course. Many thanks! Any ideas about the "Ho-ho-Hollywood" mistery? I am 100% sure about the year when it was popular - 1982.
nikivt, as regards the "Hollywood" song... The years are all wrong, but have you ruled out "Hollywood" by Village People and "Hollywood Swingin'" by Kool and The Gang?
A2Mark57, i know these two but they're not the answer. The song in question is from 1982, could also eventually be released at the end of 1981. Stupid me - can't remember nothing from the lyrics except the chorus - male vocal saying not just "Hollywood", but "Ho-Ho-Hollywood" (as Santa does "Ho-Ho-Hoo")
Ho-Ho Hollywood is what the German group DINGO bellows the chorus of "Hollywood", a 7"/12" realese from 1980 that also got included in one of the latter editions of "It's My Diskotek". That was a series filled with Ariola and Hansa International tunes, most often penned by Jaanschen/Jaanschens or Anthony Monn.
