I was wondering if there were anyone who were on these boards that have Sirius Satellite Radio and listen to the Strobe. Both my parents and my sister have Sirius, yet I do not. I love the radio, but not very much the Strobe. Here's why.
Every time I turn on the station, they are always playing the same stuff. It seems they are only using a limited playlist or something. And most of it seems to be more mainstream stuff. I have heard "Let's All Chant" almost every time I listen anymore. Most of the time, they use the radio version. It only happens when you listen for more than an hour when you hear a great instrumental like "Cocomotion" by Coco. It seems that they created this for nostalgic reasons to serve just that casual listener of disco music at the time. Also, they seem to get away with playing songs that don't even sound like disco at all (Was the 80s dance music considered disco?)!!
So what are your opinions on the station for those who have it?

I have Sirius and listen to the Strobe, and after 2 years of hearing the exact same songs in frequent rotation, I switch to other channels more frequently than I used to. All of the songs are Top 40 Disco and the short versions (with very few exceptions). And, yes, they toss in some Eighties Dance and way too much Freestyle. I ma extremely disappointed with the Strobe. The Disco channel on XM Satellite Radio is better - I get it through my television cable provider. If there is going to be a station dedicated to Disco, I want to hear the songs that I danced to at the clubs and the Disco album cuts - not the songs from Seventies' Top 40 radio.
