It certainly has the classic disco sound! Love that song, too. Very HEAVY pulsing disco beat! Thanks for helping me get that stuck in my head for the day!
Nothing in Disco sounds like this record...those HORNS!!! THE BEST...:icon_mrgreen:

Funny you should mention this track today.
Yesterday I went to this sidewalk sale and picked up a bunch of CDs including THE LAST DAYS OF DISCO soundtrack and there is a 8'18 version of GOT TO HAVE LOVING on it.
I knew the song but never reallly got into it before.
Now it's on my iPod.
Disco is timeless !!!

kdavid13,
Nevermind for the place to buy it...
I just found out that I bought the latter about a month ago.
I was just on the impression that the version on Disco Gold was shorter.
This tells me that I am due for a major inventory of my collection.
The encouraging part is that so far I haven't bought the same title twice.
Thank you all.
Don't worry, I will eventually wake up and smell the cofee....:icon_redface:
LOVE IT~!! In the thread favorite parts of disco songs or something of that nature,I wrote that I loved the build up and the horns right after the female vocals .well I just love it period. It's #11 on my all time favorite 50 Disco songs

Yes a great co-production of Don Ray ...and Cerrone.
A true one hit wonder.
If you buy this record your life, will be better.
Releasing under his own name yes, but Raymond Donnez is a big shot when it becomes to arrange and produce other artists.
Encyclopédisque - Discographie : Raymond DONNEZ (Arrangeur)
The only Cerrone production I ever fully embraced. A classic Disco toon. The Uk 7" was strange in that towards the end, it starts to fade a little and then suddenly kicks in much louder. At least it reminded me where the end was!!!:icon_biggrin::icon_biggrin:
Don Ray has a 60's record that is expensive on the Northern Soul scene.... 'Born A Loser' on RCA records. It's 1 minute 44 seconds long !
Don Ray produced a totally brilliant eurodisco LP in '79 for a diva called Michele Freeman; it's a favourite of mine but I've never seen it mentioned on here before & put that down to the fact that so much material got overlooked in '79 due to the 'great disco glut of '79'!![]()
...ya gotta beat the street......
It don't mean a thing (if ain't got that swing)
