Hey folks!
Need some help here. I want to make a compliation CD for my kids of "cutesy disco" music. Let me give you some titles I have in mind and then what I'm looking for is suggestions for other, similar-type songs. Thanks in advance for your help!
The song that actually got me thinking about making a CD like this was "Heaven on the Seventh Floor" by Paul Nicholas. As I was thinking of other titles I thought about "Trapped in a Stairway" by Paul Jabara off the TGIF soundtrack. I thought of David Naughton's "Makin' It" and Freddie James' "Crazy Disco Music" but they're kind of sitting on the outside. I love those tunes but they have a bit of a harder edge to them than something like "Heaven on the Seventh Floor." "Heaven" is so light and bouncy.
Any other ideas out there?

Good suggestions, needle!
I thought of another one, too, while I was driving around: A Little Lovin' (Keeps the Doctor Away) by the Raes.
Any other suggestions out there????
Welcome to DiscoMusic.com discophil. Give just about any song from Tina Charles a try as they are very catchy and suitable for younger ears.

Besides "Let's Hear it for the Boy" (BLECHH) by the otherwise-wonderful Deniece Williams, MY worst-ever cutesy disco track, by far, is "Upside-Down (Dizzy Does It Make Me)" by Vanessa, 1982 on Dureco (holland)... Ms Vanessa's cooing of the vapid english/french lyrics, along with the obligatory "la-la-las", gives me instant cavities, so sweet and mindless it is...if Betty Boop sang Europop and had a lower register she's sound something like this...and I LIKE bubblegum ( the music genre) but this is too much! Of course I bought it as soon as I heard it at my favorite record shop!!
