Wow, silence on this, i guess none of you ever played Stars on 45 (or are afraid to admit that you liked it, i liked it:icon_smile:)
How popular was Stars on 45 when you were at the clubs or if you were spinning, how often did you play it?
Myself, i enjoyed their covers...

I don't think anybody is ignoring you, but we have had a few discussions about this recently, and I think we all know by now who is on what side.
Here are the links to those threads.

I remember hearing this in the clubs and the version they played didn't just have the Beatles medley, but had a variety of other tunes mixed in as well. (e.g. "Here Comes That Rainy Day Feeling", etc.)
So you made me trawl through my 12" collection.
I have 3 Stars on Long Play (I will post the covers tomorrow)

Oh I see no problem in bringing it up again. Especially with new members. :icon_mrgreen:
Still, the idea that some of the opinions on this board, towards Stars On 45, is going to change.....? :icon_rolleyes: Well let's just say they will solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict long before that happens.
Don't get me wrong. I see their point and I do buy their arguement. Stars On 45 is "bubblegum" :icon_twisted:
But, in my book, "bubblegum" sells. That's why they keep it close to the cash register when you are checking out at the grocery store.![]()
Here are the album covers for the 3 Stars on Long Play
Hey, I like bubblegum. But in this case, that word seems too much of a compliment :icon_rolleyes:
The first Stars on 45 LP was just a legal, band-played blatant copy of the most widely known mix bootleg 12', called "Bits & Pieces Part III: Let's do it". From then on, further downhill...
It don't mean a thing (if ain't got that swing)
