Meco // The Star Wars Theme...

I always enjoy hearing this Classic...The STAR WARS THEME...some might think its a bit campy...But i tell ya from a musician's point of view,totally awesome...the other albums were Ok the Wizard Of Oz...etc

I actually found the full album a few months ago.. impressive stuff.

I got to hear the Wizard Of Oz LP recently for the first time & I have to admit to hating it, yet usually I love Meco's productions. It's like Boris Midney's Pinocchio LP - i.e. a concept LP too far!:icon_confused:

I too thought it was dreadful. But I remember reading an interview with Meco where he said he thought it was the best thing he ever did.

I first got a request for "The Wizard of Oz" in a packed club from a club kid a few years ago. Needless to say I did not have a copy with me. Would you have thought anyone, let alone anyone under 20 would actually come up all excited and blabber on about Meco's Wizard of Oz as if it was the ultimate dance masterpiece, this day and age? Of course one should have known it makes perfect sense today, being that trippy and drugged and yes indeed, long passages of the damn thing do in fact sound quite good today, thru big speakers at least.
