    Do you know what I mean

    It's not from Lee Michaels

    this track I am trying to ID uses a voice similar to Barry White or Colonel Abrams, house music type, is repeatedly saying " Do you know what I mean ".
    This is all the info I can provide for now. :icon_redface:

    Are you referring to the club track from the early 90s? It's by an artist called #1.

    Fresh tunes feat. Colonel Abrams - #1 Do you know what I mean ?
    Fresh Tunes - #1 - Do You Know What I Mean?

    At least I've figured it was Colonel Abrams's voice :icon_mrgreen:

    also learned that "Fresh Tunes" is same group also known as: The Goodmen (Give it up)

    I've never seen the credentials saying Fresh Tunes feat Col Abrams. They must have changed it later on. The singles and compilations I've seen from the 90s all list it as being by '#1'. Maybe there was a lawsuit, so everything afterwards had to include Abrams' name?

    Give It Up was a good track too. It spawned a few copy cat songs afterwards, using the similar 'batucada' percussion samples.
