    quite a lot of controversy surrounding these lyrics

    to "Icky Thump", the title track of the new White Stripes album: "Well, Americans, what, nothin' better to do?/ Why don't you kick yourselves out?/You're an immigrant, too..." Ouch.

    I don't see anything out of the ordinary. That line is said from the Mexican point of view, to an American who crossed the border. Seems to be a song about that stupid wall...

    BTW, the White Stripes ROCK :icon_cool:

    I'm listening to this album now. Pay attention to track number 4, it's not the "single". It's called "Conquest", has mariachis in it and it's incredible! You don't know if you must clap or laugh :icon_smile:

    I read it's a cover from a Fifties song
    It don't mean a thing (if ain't got that swing)
