I'm sure Jussi can fill us all in on Sabine since he is the one who introduced her music to me. Jussi where are you?
A while ago I saw her on the unlikely disco artists list, and ever since then I have been wondering who she is. I did a search online and came up with almost nothing. So can anybody give me any info on her?

Dear nadia, dear Bernie!
SABINE SAUVANT is a singer from Munich a gave us "Casbah
In Cairo" in 1979. She is also the sister of HEIDI BRÜHL a
famous german singer and actress.

Sabine's biggest euro seller was a typically cheesy and entertaining medley of 60's pop hits called "To The Music Hit Makers". Like Best Disco In Town, this has a great original central melody divided by all sorts of more or less appropriate bits and pieces like Under The Boardwalk, Mr. Tangerine Man and Petula Clark's fab Downtown. Sabine travelled the clubs with her disco revue in 1977 and wowed them with a marathon live version of the already very long track. There's a 12" and a compliation album called "T.T.M.H. Makers" which also has the full lenght track, in addition of inferior tunes by collaborators Red Face and Claudia Field. Get the album as the cover image is quite odd.
Thanks for the info...I wonder why there is such little about her on the web, at least where I've looked.
"Hey Mr. Tangerine Man, squeeze a glass for me"
