This sounds familiar, but I can't place it. What is this song like/label/year?

-- off hand i don't know the label,i need to check the disc, but i remember it being similar color shade as "Personal" disc orange, and a somewhat obscure name. Believe the disc is from around '79 or so...fullbodied voice like sylvia mason, thelma houston, taana gardner etc..lots of repeats of the chorus " treat yourself to my loovve, un huh," etc...hope that helps.

    here's the info...Becket records Promo 12" # BKD-507 ( BKD-507a-19 ) c 1981

produced by Ray Reid, William Anderson, for Donnie Linton Mngmnt

written by Ray Reid, William Anderson, A Wilson for "Fools Prayer" music, Crown Heights publishing.

Any one have any info on this, as now I am curious also. Is there any relation to this and Crown Hghts affair ?? Teri has a sexy / sultry voice, goes from falsetto to down low..kinda like a female Barry White...

My recent deejayings here included a track from that Ingognito lp by Amanda, plus:

    Ralph Benatar: Malaria Febre

    Balanco: Spectre

    Bahia Black: Capitao Do Asfalto

Donovan: Barabajagal – amazing jazzfunkdisco throbber from the strangest source, recorded in 1969 and sounding like today

    Weyman Corporation: Kumbayero

    Revelacion: Crocos Dance

    Kongas: Doctor Doo-Dah

    Kongas: Anikana-O

Joe Bataan: Theme From Shaft – excellent 6-minute version, irresistible to the trendies

Hustlers Convention: Hustler’s Dance (Slo Moshun Dub)

Chic: Dance Dance Dance – this and the above run in perfect sync for great lenghts making a good 15-minute mutation

    Lucio Battisti: Nessun Dolore

Amanda ”If You still don’t believe me I’m A Good Woman check my family photos” Lear: Nymphomania

Hugo Montenegro – Come Spy With Me – unsafe dance music

That cut came aroudn late 81-early 82<???> Ray Reid & William Anderson by then still had Crown Heights Affair, but they were enjoying a thriving career in producing others music such as Unlimited Touch, Trilark, France Joli, & Intensive Heat. One member of Crown Heights Affair, Bert Reid, was simarly enjoying success with his mix of "must be the music/secret weapon" and Denroy Morgan "i'll do anything for you" as well as Jamaica Girls "rock the beat. The sound of that record is definetly top-notch, echoing the then-popular New York "ultrasophisticated funk" that was popular at the clubs back in the early 80s. Slower than most disco records of what was then a few years back, it was still a good one for the floor. The production is kind of reminicent of France Joli's "gonna get over you" and "take a chance on my love" ...

    get back at me,
