I love the album put out by the Armada Orchestra. My favorite track is "Band of Gold" ... but almost all of the tracks are great. Another one of my favorites is the Biddu Orchestra. Many Salsoul Orchestra tracks are also great.. (Nice and Nasty, Salsoul Rainbow) Can anyone suggest to me similar sounding disco orchestras? I've tried MSFB, Love Unlimited, Meco, Monster Orchestra, THP Orch, Constellation Orch., and a number of others... but none of them have that lush beautiful happy sound of the Armada and Biddu Orchestras. ..I've hear one Silvetti track (Spring Rain) and it sounds nice... are his other tracks worth seeking out? I've heard alot about Costandinos but those I have heard then to be drawn out and pretentious and not very danceable...
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Welcome aboard friend (at last someone else with immaculate taste regarding Alec R. :icon_biggrin::icon_biggrin::icon_biggrin:).
If you like Salsoul Orch, Armada Orch etc then you'll love GB Experience - Disco Extravaganza. Otherwise, try listeneing to as many Philly Disco sounds as you can, as it seems to me that they're the sort of stuff you'll enjoy.
For the British disco sound you seem to be into try "Phantasm" by Captain Zorro, as that 12" from the summer of 1979 is actually done by Biddu, and is about the bounciest and the most luxuriously lush track he ever did. Note that the Armada Ork put out 2 albums, both equally good. - Some people do think Costandinos is horribly drawn out, pretentious and not very danceable, but others who like their stuff hot, long, pounding and with a lot of French ooh la la can't get enough of the man.
