Rinder and Lewis are no longer friends

    *****

This was the saddest part of that interview Paulo provided:

Are you still in contact at all?

I ran into him at Pavilions (Pavilions is a Supermarket) recently. We happened to be standing next to each other. He lives like 2 miles from me. He was standing there and I ran up to him to be the next guy in line and I said “Imagine that!” Talked for a bit and then he just drifted off. Something happened between us that was bigger than I can remember – I don’t know. It’s a shame, we were together for 25 years.

25 years is an awfully long time to be a working colleague of someone, especially with the pressures of the Music Biz. Little wonder they had to go their seperate ways?

Sure is a shame when 2 such gifted people who obviously bring out the best in each other fall out. It seems that whenever this happens, neither party wants to discuss it (last I heard, Burt Bacharach and Hal David don't speak to each other either). And while we're on this subject, I've NEVER seen this "Rinder and Lewis" album with my own eyes, and it wouldn't matter to me if it's available on eBay or Amazon as I can't use either of those sites' services (I don't use any site that requires a credit card and accepts no other form of payment)

    This is for Ol'Skinflint.

I understand your reluctance to use sites that require you to pay with a credit card but did you know that you can now get a pre-paid credit card?
You just load it with the amount you wish to spend so there is no way you can lose (or spend) any more than the amount you load on the card. To me it is the easiest, cheapest, lowest risk way to purchase on the net.

I don't know which country you hail from but if we have it in Australia (BOPO pre-paid Visa) I am sure it will be available in your country.

This is not spam. I am in no way affiliated with any credit card company. I am just a happy user.

    Cheers,
    Tim Tam

I'd put my money on the "7 Deadly Sins" LP

I've yet to see that LP with my own eyes either!:icon_confused:

I have a UK copy, but the mastering is crap (much too much compression).
I've seen two US copies, one for sale at a store for $75 (they sold it) and one which was loaned to me.

Hmm, there is a shop in Berlin that sells the LP "still sealed" for 15,95 €.

Most likely a repressing that is apparently out in Europe. Whether this is legit or not or what the sound quality is like, I don't know. For example, there are "sealed" copies of Lowrell's album on AVI, but they are counterfeit and sound horrible.
